چکیده

In this study, the enhanced photodegradation of a high-concentration phenol red (PR) using very fine TiO2 nanocrystals by adding KBrO3 electron acceptor was reported for first time. The structural study on HRTEM, XRD, Raman, and EDX performed it confirmed anatase phase nanocrystals. UV–Vis absorbance 20 mg.L?1 PR measured extracted. concentration effects exhibited an important enhancement in degradation dye. efficiency increased during 110 min from 75% pure to 92% 98% with 1 mg 5 KBrO3, respectively. For different samples, first-order kinetic dye is confirmed. instantaneous amount degraded 150 180 197 mg/g mechanism reaction confirms effect OH- radicals increasing photocatalytic activities. addition acceptors improved photocatalysis rate, where prevented e-h recombination through conduction band capture, which increases hydroxyl radicals. proposed results were supported photocurrent measurements Raman spectra analysis final photodegraded products. observed at 1.2 µA, significantly up 13.2, 21.3 µA KBrO3. products that SO42? carbons are byproducts degradation.

Investigation of photocatalytic degradation of phenol by Fe(III)-doped TiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticles

In this study Fe (III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel method at two atomic ratio of Fe/Ti, 0.006 and 0.034 percent. Then the photoactivity of them was investigated on degradation of phenol under UV (<380 nm) irradiation and visible light (>380 nm). Results showed that at appropriate atomic ratio of Fe to Ti (% 0.034) photoactivity of Fe(III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles increa...
